We love living in Hervey Bay!  Where the Mary River flows into the Bay. We have Fraser Island the largest sand island on the planet at our front door.


Hervey Bay’s beautiful beaches run for kilometers and fringe the esplanade is fringed with shopping hotspots, and plenty of magical spots for a picnic by the beach, or dine al fresco by the marina on our fabulous local seafood. The botanic gardens and a world class marina are just minutes from the city heart.


Hervey Bay has often been called the jewel in Queensland’s crown. It is also referred to as the Whale Watch Capital of the World. Home of the majestic Humpback Whales and World Heritage listed Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world.


A scenic 3.5 hour’s drive north of Brisbane and only 45 minutes by air from Brisbane, Hervey Bay is an easily accessible holiday destination.


The city has a wonderful subtropical climate. Temperatures range from 14 to 23 degrees Centigrade in winter and 22 to 29 degrees Centigrade in summer. Rainfall is low and there are more fine days than other Queensland holiday centres.
